Why spaced repetition

Re-reading feels like studying. It is not.

Reading a chapter twice builds familiarity, which your brain mistakes for knowledge — then the exam asks you to retrieve it. Spaced repetition inverts that: every card makes you produce the answer before you see it, and the ones you fumble come back sooner. It is uncomfortable, and it is why it works.

Which exams is it for?

It is built for candidates facing CFA, CPA, FRM, ACCA and CMA. The engine works from whatever notes you give it, so it is not limited to those.

Where do the cards come from?

From material you provide — a photographed page, a pasted summary, or a topic you type. It does not invent content to pad a deck.

What is spaced repetition?

A scheduler that shows each card just before you would forget it. Cards you find hard return sooner; cards you know drift further apart.

Is there a free tier?

Yes — 5 decks with full scheduling and no ads. Basic is $2.99 a month for 25 decks and Pro is $4.99 for 100.

Can I use it alongside Anki?

Yes. Polymath is for turning your own notes into a scheduled deck quickly on your phone; nothing stops you keeping other decks elsewhere.

Does it work offline?

Reviewing your existing decks works on your device. Generating a new deck needs a connection.

Privacy policy

Your study materials. When you generate a deck, the notes, photo, or topic you provide is sent to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to create your flashcards. We do not keep a copy of your materials on our servers once your cards are generated. Anthropic processes the request to generate your cards and, under its standard API terms, may retain the input and output for up to 30 days for trust-and-safety purposes; Anthropic does not use this API data to train its models.
Reported cards. If you tap "report" on a card you think is wrong, that single card's question, answer, and deck title are sent to our server and kept for up to 90 days so we can review and improve accuracy. This happens only when you choose to report a card. To request deletion of a reported card, email us with the deck title.
Your decks and progress (cards, review schedule, streak) are stored on your device only. Deleting the app removes them.
Usage counters. To enforce the free allowance and fair-use limits we store an anonymous, randomly generated device identifier and a deck count. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or Apple account, and is not used for tracking or advertising.
No accounts, no ads, no trackers. Polymath has no sign-up, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party advertising.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
